Cole turns 4

On September 17, 2012, Cole turned 4 years old and he was so proud of himself for the accomplishment. He talks a lot about how big he's getting, how much he's growing and what amazing things he can do now that he's four. We love it.
Cole had a few birthday celebrations. He had a little family party on his birthday that included a Spider Man cake and super fun presents picked out mostly by dad.

He also got to take cupcakes to his preschool for snacks on his birthday. He wore a fun birthday hat throughout the day. Cole picked sticky rubber frogs to top his cupcakes. He talked for days after about bringing those cupcakes.  I love that Cole is his biggest fan. I hope he always stays that way.

On Saturday, September 29, 2012, Cole had his friend birthday party. It was scheduled for the weekend before but when I started calling for RSVPs no one and I really mean no one could come. Thankfully, everyone could come the next weekend so I moved it. The kids each decorated their own cupcakes as an activity instead of having a traditional birthday cake. Cole loved opening his presents. Cole's biggest request was that he have a "yada" (pinata) for his party. Given Cole's birthday is at the beginning of Halloween season we found a Frankenstein yada for the kids to demolish. Everyone got several swings but it finally took Nicholas Studley to get the thing open.
