President's Day in Sedona

Chad had Presidents Day off so we took a day trip to Sedona, AZ. We spent our honeymoon there eight years ago but hadn't been back since. We remembered a wonderful and popular omlette restaurant there we wanted to try again. It is called The Coffee Pot. We drove up 89, the really windey Gerome road, which was a mistake. We gave Grant medicine because he is notorious for carsick vomitting. We didn't give Cole any medicine. Of course, he was the one who threw up. Thank goodness I was prepared with extra clothes. Mom has learned.

We did make it to Sedona and enjoyed a delicious breakfast at The Coffee Pot. After that we headed to one of the state parks. It wasn't Red Rock but the one next to it. I can't recall the name. It was beautiful. The creek was full and the weather was perfect. We walked and played for about two hours on the trail. The boys loved throwing rocks in the creek. Cole got himself filthy and wet. They slept quite soundly on the drive back to Prescott.
