School starts

Sadly all things must come to an end. School started again. Grant started first at his new school, Mountain Charter School. It is very similar to Skyview School in Prescott. We were so lucky to get a spot at the school. Grant's classmate from Knoles, Nathan Carleton, also moved to Mountain. They are in the same class. We carpool because school is a good 15 minutes away.

Two days after school started we headed to Phoenix to see Kristen, Brad and Amanda. We spent a day with Papa at David's and a day with Oma at her house. Brad bought the boys remote control helicopters that provided entertainment for every male in the group. Brad and David even ended up ordering their own helicopters.

The next week Cole started preschool at Acorn Preschool. He loves it. He has a great, very experienced teacher and a couple of friends in his class. He was so excited for his first day. He loves bringing a backpack and a water bottle. He loves the zipline on the playground and has started to absorb the academic things he needs to learn.

Cole's playground has a fun zipline that he loves. Here is a video of him trying it out his first day of school: http://youtu.be/D3fu4JnHMR8

Ever since Grant and Chad hiked Fat Man's Loop, Cole has wanted to do the hike. One Saturday, the YW did a mother/daughter hike. I brought Cole with me. It was slow going and there were a lot of lollipops involved but we made it to the hole in the rock. We didn't do the whole loop because Cole never would have made it.
