Cole Turns Three Years Old

Our little Colar Bear turned three on September 17, although we told him he turned three on September 18 because we were camping on his actual birthday. Thank goodness he's three and doesn't know the difference. It's hard to believe he's three already. Time has gone quickly and very slowly at the same time. We love our little Cole. He is quite the comic relief in our home. He idolizes Grant, imitating and copying everything Grant does. Grant is Cole's favorite person to play with. Cole is very close to mastering using the potty and very close to being able to go to preschool. He is growing up so fast, I almost can't keep track of it.
We got home from Flagstaff and immediately wrapped up his presents for him to open. We did it so quickly because he was in the middle of a huge tantrum about watching a movie and we knew he was getting a new movie for his birthday. Cole's big present this year was a battery operated quad he can drive around with the Power Wheels. He loves it. He looks so cute on the little quad. Video of him riding: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjAA-xS4uJg; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysh_66N_XV8; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv84e4gSgIE

Once we got the presents taken care of and the tantrum under control, I set to work on the cake. We let the boys relax and play a little bit. Chad tried to handle frosting the cake but the cake was so crumbly it didn't work very well. Ultimately, it didn't matter one bit what the cake looked like.

One of Cole's presents was a candy maker that makes ear wax and snot candy. Needless to say he loved it. You can see him eating ear wax below.
